Stainless Steel Grades

Steel Trading Co. supplies the following stainless steel grades from Karachi, Pakistan.

304 Stainless Steel

The most widely used stainless grade, historically known as 18/8 for its nominal 18% chromium, 8% nickel content. Good deep-drawing properties.

High chromium-nickel austenitic grade for high-temperature service and oxidation resistance.

Molybdenum addition over 304 gives better resistance to chlorides and industrial corrosion. Common in marine and chemical processing environments.

General-purpose martensitic grade, hardenable by quenching and tempering. Lower corrosion resistance than austenitic grades but higher strength.
